Glossary
The interface uses a handful of words in a very particular way. Here is what each of them means.
ConfiguratorKonfigurator
The record describing the choice journey. It sits on a parent product and consists of any number of streams.
StreamStream
A choice group inside a configurator - one step the customer walks through.
Parent productVater-Produkt
The product the configurator sits on. It carries the image, the title and, depending on the settings, the price.
ComponentKomponente
A product in the role of a part. The same product can be sold on its own and be a component at the same time.
TemplateVorlage
A configurator that does not sell but passes things on. Whether something is a template is decided at creation and stays that way.
Mandatory fieldPflichtfeld
At least one product must be chosen from this stream, otherwise the combination does not reach the cart.
Multiple selectionMehrfachauswahl
Allows more than one product from the same group to be chosen.
SetSet
A stream with a fixed quantity, for instance “choose exactly six”. The mandatory field is not considered for it.
Set behaviourSet-Verhalten
The rule for the quantity of a set - four variants from “up to x” to “exactly x”.
PreselectionVorauswahl
Products already chosen on the first visit. They also determine the fixed price in the listing.
FilterFilter
The tab used to block individual products and variants for this stream without changing the source.
Relative pricesRelative Preise
Prices shown as a surcharge on the current selection instead of a full price.
Percentage surchargeProzentualer Aufschlag
A product whose own price is ignored; a percentage on the entire configuration applies instead.
ThresholdSchwellenwert
The quantity or sum from which a rebate applies.
ScopeGeltungsbereich
Whether the threshold is counted across the whole configurator or per stream.
Price in listingPreis im Listing
Which number appears in the category: the cheapest possible price or the price of the preselection.
Listing cacheListing-Cache
A cache for the calculated listing prices, so category pages stay fast.
Input fieldEingabefeld
A text box per product, for an engraving for instance. It appears as list and as slider only.
No SelectionKeine Auswahl
The tile used to deliberately deselect a group - with a text and image of its own.
Dynamic product groupDynamische Produktgruppe
A condition instead of a list as the source of a stream. New matching products become selectable automatically.
Saved configurationGespeicherte Konfiguration
A stored combination with an address of its own that can be passed on and reopened later.
Store APIStore-API
The interface a frontend of your own uses to query the configurator and put a combination into the cart.
